Species of fish present in the lake and rivers

Pike, zander, perch, carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, gudgeon, ruff, eel, trout, black bass, dace and frog.

Regulation

Open season:

WaterCOURSES CLASSED AS CATEGORY TWO. FROM 1ST December to 31 st December 2010

Trout : 13th March to 19th September inclusive.
Pike, perch, black bass, zander : 1st january to 31th january and 8 th May to 31st December 2010.

Fishing area :

Private fishing area-category two

5800 hectare lake of which 2080 hectares are communal and managed by the AAPPMA.

Rivers : Gourgue, Le Canal, l'Arieste = 12 km of private, category two fishing.

Fishing reserves : 
Private fishing areas - category two
Permanent reserve on "Put Blanc" 24 hectares.
Tempory reserve for carnivorous freshwater fish at the "conche de Caton"
Every year 1st December 2010 to 1st january 2010, then total closure.
Protection of spawn.

Miminum size of fish : 
Black bass : 0.30 m
Pike : 0.60 m
Zander : 0.50 m
Trout : 0.23 m
Carnivorous fish limited to 6 catches per day except perch.
Trout limited 10 per day.

Fishing techniques :
 
Live bait, salkin, casting, troling, fly, coarse

General regulations :
Fishing cannot occur more than one half hour before sunrise and more than one half hour after sunset.
During the closes season for pike, perch, black bass and zander from 30th january 2010 to 13th april 2010 fishing with live bait, dead or artificial bait, with spoon and other lures, with the exception of flies is forbidden in category two.
Trolling is forbidden between 18.00 saurday and 6.00 monday.
Carp fidhing at night is forbidden in areas managed by the AAPPMA.
