The Lake of Sanguinet

The lake of  Sanguinet  has a surface of 5800 hectares which makes it the second biggest lake of France.

This natural lake of fresh water, formed approximately 4000 years ago, is now a small paradise surrounded by greenery and pines.
Lined with fine sandy beaches, with shaded parking lots and followed partially by the cycle track connecting Biscarrosse beach, it has become a haven of peace where water-based recreations are many, in particular thanks to the quiet, transparent and shallow water at the edge , which can reach 28 ° in summer.
